談到unemployment失業，值得的是其社會影響。上述題目當年只有15%答對，非常經典。選項(2)要小心，對整個社會來說，失業即是有勞動生產力的人力資源沒有充分利用去生產，故產出水平不能達到最高。但納稅人(就業人士)需要給多一點稅，或政府發放失業救濟金，不是整個社會的損失。失業救濟金只有一種轉移支付，將收入由就業人口轉到失業人口上，只是收入分配，對社會整體的得益沒有影響(因為失業人口及就業人口皆是社會一部分)。
